On this page are some of the three piece style pipes which I am known for and some two piece pipes. With three piece pipes, the shank is inserted into the bowl and is removeable for easier cleaning. During the evolution of these pipes, I developed a chamber in the bottom of the bowl which traps moisture and cools the smoke for a more enjoyable experience. There are not many pipemakers producing this design. Most are made in the rusticated (carved) version to give them a more antique look and feel. Smooth versions can also be made. All have polished vulcanite stems and can be made from any of the available hardwoods. Cherry, Maple, Walnut, Orange, Eucalyptus or Jarra. An evening ritual. I thought this would make a nice photo to enhance the site. There is something relaxing and meditative about taking time to enjoy the art of pipe smoking. Yes, I also made the table out of Maple and the ashtray out of Poplar wood.

I call this "The Stack" made to look like a brick chimney. It is stained with red oil stain to enhance the look of the brick.

"The Stack" is made from genuine California Orange wood from an old Valencia Orange tree found 3 miles from my shop.

The over 100 year old Orange tree this pipe is made from was not cut down by Man, but blown over by the strong "Santa Ana" winds from the North.

The "Judge XL" Made of Jarra Wood. This Is a Large Pipe With a Deep Bowl.

2009 GM Signature Series pipe made of Bocote. This is the first pipe I have made from this wood. The grain is spectacular!!!

Every Signature Series pipe has the "GM" logo hand carved into the bottom of the bowl.

In memory of my Father Howard Bloom, I made this commemorative pipe on 3-20-08 which is the 3rd anniversary of his passing on. Made of Jarra wood shaped like his Peterson pipe. One of his favorites.
