More Of My 2009 GM Signature Series Pipes

I never thought I would run out of room on the 2009 Signature Series page, but I did! Here are more of my designs for this year's pipes.

New!!! The GM Signature Series Utility Pipe. See Below!!!

Ideas Just Keep Coming!

GM SIGNATURE SERIES IN JARRA

Jarra wood is a great pipe making material. It breaks in and smokes just like a Briar pipe. No burning, no after taste and it stays cool no matter how hot you smoke the pipe. One suggestion is that you apply honey to the bowl before you smoke it for the first time.

Thanks To My Clients For Their Input.

GM SIGNATURE SERIES THREE PIECE IN EUCALYPTUS

Commissioned by a local client, I decided to produce this pipe in Eucalyptus due to its excellent smoking qualities. This pipe is massive so I call it "The Monster". It is quite large and really heavy, but the client is used to very large pipes so this is a welcomed addition to his collection.

GM SIGNATURE SERIES FREEHAND IN ALMOND HEARTWOOD

Here is a test pipe made for myself so I could investigate this new wood found at a firewood lot. It is a very hard wood and difficult to sand. I spent two entire days getting the scratches out. I always smoke a pipe made of a new wood for a month and information on this wood will follow in a month or two.

GM SIGNATURE SERIES HORN IN JARRA

I thought I would try my first Horn design and make it from Jarra. Originally, the design was meant for a personal pipe which would be 26 inches long made of 5 pieces. This is still a project on the back burner and photos of the pipe will be placed on this page when it is finished. Below are photos of another "Giant" pipe made of Orange wood.

GM SIGNATURE SERIES "GIANT" IN CALIFORNIA ORANGE WOOD

The "Giant" is 26 inches long, made of California Orange wood, has a 3 inch tall bowl which is bored at 3/4 inch and 2 inches deep. Made in 6 precision pieces, this is not the first "Giant" pipe I have made, but it is the longest (so far).

Here is a view of the "Giant" in pieces.

GM SIGNATURE SERIES UTILITY PIPE IN VARIOUS WOODS

OK, we are all having trouble in this economy so I have come up with a pipe we all can afford. The GM Utility Pipe. My pipes are not expensive, but this pipe is even less money. You will still get a top quality pipe, but there is no fancy mouthpiece and polishing that makes a pipe cost more. It ain't pretty, but neither was my first girlfriend. She made me happy though and so will this pipe. It will be your best friend wherever you go and you won't have to worry about losing it on those camping trips either. 25 bucks ships it and you will be glad when you light it up!!! If you can keep from losing it, you will be smoking it for years!

GM SIGNATURE SERIES UTILITY PIPE

All pipes made during the 2009 season and after will have the GM logo hand carved on every pipe. Even the affordable Utility Series pipes will have the logo on the bottom of the bowl. So not only will they be affordable, but they will also be collectible! Every GM Pipe is made to last. Take care to break it in properly and you will be able to pass it along to the next generation of pipe smokers in your family. The woods used on the bowls for these pipes are Walnut, Cherry, Mahogany, Jarra and Maple. Other woods are being considered for these pipes and updates will be posted in the future. All stems are made from Birch and should last for years.
