G.M. Pipe Styles

Here are some examples of creations right from my shop. From two piece pipes, three piece, long, short, tiny one piece pipes, cigar and cigarette holders of any length and pipe racks. I do not blow glass. My medium is wood. Eucalyptus, Cherry, Maple, Walnut, Jarra, Orange and sometimes Olive. Oak and Briar are rare since the suppliers have not been consistent. None of my pipes have chemical spray finishes or wax on them. I only use oil stain on a few selected designs when requested. I have found that a finely sanded and buffed surface brings out the natural beauty of the woods I use. Waxing them will not hurt or damage these fine smoking instruments. I run a "Green As Possible" shop which means I try to use wood which would otherwise be destined for the landfill before I go out to purchase it for projects. I use the wood I purchase wisely and always use all shop dust in the garden as compost. I only run my machines during off-peak demand times as not to be a drain on the grid. Hardly anything is thrown in the waste stream (Trash). Since this is not my living, it is not the money, but the love of the art that keeps me going. If you would like to support those artists making their living producing fine smoking pieces, I would recommend going to a search site and typing in "Pipemakers". You will find some genuine American artists making pipes for a living. They are not my competition, they are my Brothers and Sisters. I support them too! I have many pieces of their art on my own racks.
